My name is Mark Nii Hylton and I am a native of Ghana,
a country known for its beautiful white sandy beaches,
stunningly colorful Kentey cloth and up-tempo, dance
style known as highlife. Throughout my life, Africa has
given me the blessing of exposure to the inspiring
world of contemporary/abstract art. While attending
school in the USA, I developed my style as a continuity
of traditional African art and further advanced to capture
psychosocial, political, cultural, ethical ideas. My style
ranges from detailed application of paint to lose
confident brush strokes. Music and fashion are a big
part of my life and most of my works engulf the subject.
